  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

You've called this FCW (Front Collision Warning), "front right passenger alarm," and "Collision warning system." None of those are actually the correct term. You are talking about the low speed parking assist sonar, usually just called parking assist.

You will get false indications when there are other cars nearby that also have their parking sonar turned on. It's the nature of how the system works.

It should only be active when you are going less then 12 MPH or so. Is it always that one particular corner sensor. If so, that sensor may need to be replaced.

Yes it’s always the same corner sensor

Do I have to take it to a dealer or local repair shop, or is it an easy DIY?
That all depends on your comfort level. There's no software or calibration or special tools involved. Removing and re-installing the front bumper is the only work at all to it. The sensor snaps in/out. I haven't looked at the front to see if there is any way to reach in there and do it without removing the bumper. I have removed the rear bumper cover before. It was not at all hard, but I never would have correctly guessed where all the attachment parts where and how to disengage them without having the factory service manual.
