Trunk latch does not close all the way on the G70

Yes sorry do you know why on the Genesis G7 2020 the trunk opens halfway sometimes doesn’t open at all the lock disengages but the power doesn’t open and then doesn’t close all the way any information regarding this would be useful thanks again

The problems you are having will have to be correctly diagnosed before they can be fixed. That almost certainly requires a hands on approach. It is very unlikely that it can be diagnosed over the internet, especially with so little information.

In my 2019 it opened using a lever-system (springs) and not electronically. If yours is the same, you need an adjustment - most shops should be able to.

As far as closing my 2019 was pure manual. There was a recall for the latch not working properly - in maybe 2021/2022 - that could cause it to be hard to close. Mine was better after the fix.

My trunk latch wasn’t closing properly after I had the recall done, an adjustment was needed afterwards (which cured the problem).
