Title? Anyone installed the september 20204 map update, specifically wondering about the 8 in head unit?

If so, any problems or bugs?

Mine was from 2016. Huge update with lots of new goodies for me lol.

Installed today. It went really fast it only took like 20 min. Everything seems fine.

Nothing changed on my interface at all - Just new maps it seems. (Updated Saturday)

My last update was in 2016, so it's been 8 years. I just bought the car so it's new to me.

When was your last update?

They probably aren't adding any new features/changes now that this system is no longer on any new cars.
 
The software version didn't even change after the update, just the map version. I'm just happy we're still getting free map updates after ten years.
 
OK, perhaps a dumb question …

I purchased an SD card to install the new update. The instructions weren’t clear – do I leave the new card in the slot? Can I re-use the old card (which I got from Map’n’Soft?
