Hello! New 2025 G70 3.3t AWD sport advanced owner here

Hi everyone. Just got my G70 2 days ago. Traded in my fantastic 2015 Chevrolet SS sedan for it. Still getting the feel for the turbo 6 compared to the V8 I had before. It will be nice having AWD in the winter here in NH. Drove the RWD SS in the winter here and it did ok, but the G70 should be much better.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. Congratulations on your brand new Genesis G70! I do love the Chevolet SS. Such a great car but I guess the timing wasn't the best... Yes, the AWD should give you a better driving experience in rain and snow. The G70 is a nice jump as far as technology is concerned. Is there anything you miss about the SS?

I do miss that V8 sound. My family doesn't. They prefer the Genesis. They didn't like that it got noticed. It was also perfect blue metallic. A bit of a loud color, too. The G70 is tasman blue. A bit more reserved.

I hear you! I traded a 2008 C6 Corvette coupe in on my G70 3.3T AWD Design Edition back in 2019. I do miss some things about the C6, but I don't miss having to switch to snow tires every winter. My neighbors don't miss the C6 dual mode exhaust system, that defaulted to "loud mode" when I started the car up at 5:45 every workday morning in my driveway (my garage housed my C6 convertible and NA Miata)...

There's something about the rumble of a V8 we're all going to miss very soon... Then again, some people aren't big fans of it. - There are some advantages to being more stealthy.
