  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Year
2023
Hi All,

Thinking of moving into a G70 and came here to learn more. I am enjoying the informative and civil discussions.
Currently, I have a 2014 Jag F-type V8s, very fun, not very practical.

Cheers,

Pat

Welcome aboard, Pat! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. Which years are you looking at for the Genesis G70?

Hi Sal,
Thanks. Most likely 2023 or newer.

Pat
That'll be a nice upgrade from the Jaguar F-Type. Amazing how far this brand's products have come in such a short amount of time...

Maybe for room, but a Jag F-type... 👍😎👏
And they sound amazing if I recall.

I wish I could keep both but with both kids soon to be driving, I don't have room for a daily and a weekend car so the Jag must go. It's an amazing car. It's way faster than any car needs to be and the sound is, as you note, ridiculous.

Looking forward to testing out the G70. I used to have an Audi S4 and from what I've read the G70 is more engaging than the S4. The G70 seems like a better buy than nearly everything in its class.

The poor V8. So many are going to miss those amazing exhaust notes when they're all gone... And you're right - Genesis is targeting the A4/S4 with the G70. I've had an S4 myself and loved it - but maintenance wasn't my favorite thing.

We'll be curious to hear how you like it, and your comparisons to the S4. Enjoy!
