  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So i went to the dealership and they told me that i need a new seat frame because my seat basically isnt tight at its base,,, i noticed this because when i drive slightly uphil, the seat moves back a little as if there was a loose bolt holding the seat. My question is, is there genuinely no possible way to repair this without a whole new frame? I mean i know it related to the motor connections that move the seat how ever many ways. And if there is, how can i fix it other than dealership, who do i go to?? Theyre refusing to do anything than replace the whole base for 1.1+ without labour.

Why wouldn't that be warranteed?

Bummer. It's prolly too late to get a "service contract"??

A slight left/right movement of some G80 driver's seats is a well known issue that is solved just by adding one or more c-clips in the correct place. Perhaps this might be similar (just a different location)? You may have better luck getting a good independent mechanic to look at this.
