  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What do you do for a living???

I've nothing to Bragg about. I'm a 14 year Army Vet, and My last mission involved being in Desert Storm, after which I was medically discharged. I then worked for White Hydraulics as a Heat treat Technician for 14 years. I am currently laid off and I'm in the dislocated workers program. I'm currently in school pursuing a degree in information technology. Under these circumstances you might understand that I worry every day, if I'll even be able to make next month's car payment. I really do love my Genesis but I have learned that it is hard to enjoy something that I might not be able to keep. My 2010 Genesis 4.6 is the best automobile that I have ever owned!

I am a plant manager / Manufacturing Engineer in an Aerospace company.
I am looking to trade up my company car from a Ford Taurus to a Genesis.

I'm a Viking... I used to be a Shepard... but I changed my vocation because good and raping and pillaging is one of my strong points

Past Director of Purchasing and now have own company with rental properties.

I'm an attorney for one of the oil majors. Just getting started though. I started work this past August. The Genesis is actually my first car, and I'm pretty excited about it!

2011 4.6 White/Tan Seats

Own a comic book specialty shop and produce a weekly newsletter for the comic book biz. (I'm also a retired teacher--taught high school for 26 years.)

I'll bet you miss the sheep....:D

I do a couple of things like most, I'm sure. My day job is a QC inspector for a huge utility. Helping to making the rate payers money go as far as possible, reduce business costs and moving the company into a fully "green" operations ; including our power generation.

Im also a dad and husband - huge part of my ife.

I own an Art studio in Escondido www.brimstonestudio.com come take a look

Since 1996, I've owned and operated dry cleaning plants. Dry Cleaning has been my main "job" and has allowed me to pursue other small ventures.
Sold my first dry cleaning store after 10 years, then started another from scratch with in 2006, in a new city about 50 minutes from my home. Live in Orlando, business is in Melbourne.

In 2004, I built a laundromat with a friend. Basically a 24 hour coin laundry. That little store was great. Made us a few thousand dollars in profit each month. My partner filed bankruptcy because of some unrelated debt issues and we were forced to sell the coin laundry about a year ago. Didn't lose any money, so no biggie.
Founded and built a company called Mosquitoes & More, by myself while running my 1st dry cleaning plant. Sold mosquitoes and More in 2007.
In 2005, my wife and I bought and flipped a condo. Sold it just a few months before the market went crazy bad. Got lucky!

After opening my current dry cleaning plant in 2006, I've pretty much stuck with this for the past 5 years. I became a dad in 2007 and that has taken up the free time I used to have to mess with opening new businesses.
I've also been the Chairman for the City of West Melbourne's Business Advisory Board since 2009.

Was Mechanized Infantry from 1989 to 1993. Desert Storm vet. Carried a M249 SAW in Desert Storm.

Taught high speed driving for two different schools here in Florida.

Raced an ITA Mazda Protege for a few years, up to 2001.

I've done a lot over the past 23 years.

Scott

Well, hell why don't I just dig right in to say hello here. I just joined, as I just bought an R Spec 2.0 Turbo last week.
I'm an aussie record producer, based out of Fort Lauderdale FL. I'm not here as much as I'd like as I'm usually in either LA, Nashville, New York, London or Jamaica. But the coupe is already a hell of a lot of fun to drive when i am home. Flying out again for work tomorrow, so am going to be stuck with an Avis rental car :(

This post mentions a used Genesis that was an Avis, so you may be in luck. :)
