  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Enjoy. There will be many, many options for you to play with. Depending upon what you were previously driving, it may be a minor change or a major one.

Either way...enjoy the car. You have a vehicle roughly equivalent to a BMW 7 series, Mercedes S series, Audi 8 series, etc. Sweet.

Initially I would suggest trying to determine any key differences in how the G90 handles a driving situation vs. what you drove previously and focus on learning that. You will also have many features here that, again depending upon what you previously drove, will enable you to let the car make the daily decision (e.g., automatically turning on the headlights). I would suggest letting the car handle those and thereby freeing you up for those that require you to intervene.

ADAS is great and I love having it but if you are not used to it, you will get a lot of false positives (if you are used to it you will also get them but you will know enough to ignore them).

If you have not previously had 360 cameras, you will love that feature.

It is a big car so if your previous vehicles were much smaller, be careful initially as your turning radius, etc. may be more compromised.

But, these are minor adjustments you need to make. The big one is keeping the smile on your face from becoming permanently etched there.

Thank you Sir,
I m coming out of a S-Class Mercedes s550 2007 so the size is no problem. Now the features are on the other hand overwhelming. Lol 😆 🤣 😂 ADAS is very impressive and nice to have, but the massaging seats and comfortably was the game changer for me. I also love the fact that there is not many of these cars here in my area so everyone in the neighborhood think that I'm in a Bentley !!! LOL 😆 🤣 😂

I have a buddy who did a similar thing with Infinity and Lucid. he had an Infinity top of the line sedan that he had for fifteen years (back in the day when they made great cars) before he finally bit the bullet less than a year ago and got a Lucid Air. He has not had difficulty adjusting to the new car and its ADAS features but He is a techie (Microsoft retiree). I suspect that you won't either.

Interestingly, to me, my car is also a bit of a unicorn. I see lots of genesis vehicles here although not a lot of G90s (more GV80s, GV70s and G80s in my area). In a year and a half I have seen a total of 8 of my GV60s and, like you, I like having a unicorn. I am sure I have seen more Bentleys than GV60s in the past year and a half and I think that the same would apply to the G90 vs a Bentley. So maybe we should say that the Bentley looks a lot like your car! :tooth:

Hello everyone. New to the brand and still learning all of the options in this car. 2024 G90 and loving it so far.
Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. Congratulations on your new Genesis G90! How long have you had the flagship vehicle and what did it replace for you?

I've had the G90 for a week now. It did not replace anything but I do have a 07 Mercedes S550 which will be getting sold in a couple of months so maybe the G90 will replace it.

Yeah I was thinking of petrol models, electric for days unless you have absolutely no way of charging the car in any sensual way. Think living in a desert by yourself alone, from the wall electric cars pull 5kW or so at the very least, it would trip pretty much any regular house breaker. Maybe if you have those industrial electrical setups in your house but who on earth lives in the desert with an industrial wiring electric setup of the house... electric cars and range is still more of an issue than gas cars and range.

You have lost me. The OP acquired a G90, what has a G70 to do with that?

The G90 is an ICE vehicle. So what has electric charging to do with that? And, it is possible, that one might have electric service where there is a shortage of gasoline stations. I would hate to drive an ICE Hummer, e.g., from central Phoenix to the Quintero golf course in Peoria (a drive I often do) with anything other than a full tank of gas. But, again, what has that to do with the OP acquiring a G90?

Were you, perhaps, responding to a different thread?

How would you compare the two luxury sedans? How does the G90 drive compared to the Mercedes Benz S550?

As far as comfortability the Genesis G90 wins hands down. The power of the V8 in the S550 is a beast. The technology of the G90 and the Maybach like features in the G90 take it to another level. I'm glad that I choose the G90 for my what I call a upgraded luxury vehicle for my family. I haven't taken it on a road trip yet so I don't know how it will do as a long traveling trip.

Thank you. This is what I had expected. Back in 2007 power was a very important aspect of a top tier luxury vehicle. Personally, I still feel it is today. However, I think more people are okay with less power to have better fuel economy. Yes, that V8 was very impressive. Still is, even used... But the G90 - you mentioned Maybach-like features - technology has come a long way since 2007. But even a brand new Mercedes S-Class really doesn't give you much more than the current Genesis G90. And if you figure in the price - it's kinda ridiculous how good the G90 is... If I were buying a top tier luxury sedan right now, the G90 would be at the top of my list. And I'm not a Genesis fan boy. I love automobiles - and I love Genesis - but I know what's what in the automobile industry. I like the G90 as much as I do because I see how impressive it is... Again, congratulations on your upgrade!
