  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I really wish there was a fix or upgrade so that the rear door handles would respond to the digital key Bluetooth ultra wide band like the front ones do. Genesis Just cheaped out.

Yes lock and unlock
I’ll check our coupe next time we drive it. We have the master setting set to all doors unlock. And I believe they do when approaching with key in pocket. That said, the other day , I had my key and was driver side, approached car and wife was front passenger side and her door was LOCKED. However, car was in garage and she was last driver with her key and car had been left UNLOCKED. So weird there. Door handle sensors I think are a little wonky as driver door seems finicky to unlock at times and we still have issues with driver door side seat button assignment and profile setting not working for driver seat.

I’m a little confused. You can set your coupe so that with the digital key, some or all doors open when you walk up to it without touching the door handle?

The way the feature was demonstrated to us by our “technology ambassador “ - I do not remember how the feature was set when new on lot. Salesman squeezed driver handle once to open that door and a second squeeze to open the others. But I’m guessing since that feature didn’t always work , it was being interfered with by faulty door sensors - or so we were told. We have since then set in the car settings all doors to unlock with driver door. But now we seem to have a front passenger door lock or stay locked by itself. Also, last night I asked my wife to lock all car doors with car in garage by using her fob. She going to the driver door , approached her side with the fob in hand and me the passenger read side door. No activity from car I grabbed rear passenger handle and it was locked. She then grabbed her handle and all doors unlocked.

I’d have to look closer in the manual to see if they unlock without touching anything. Don’t remember that one.

Are you expecting the doors to unlock just on approach with no actual action or by just touching a rear door ?

If so it doesn't do that. You either have to use the button on the fob, the app, or touch a front door handle.

Back to basics on the functioning of the door handle lock and unlock. Touching the back of the handle unlocks the doors. Touching the square on the front locks them. If you happen to touch both at the same time, it's anybody's guess. It may do one or the other or neither. So choose where you touch it.

No. Just responding to the previous post and said I’d test ours. But, it is a little confusing with the 2 grab feature working and then not working with our sales guy - tech ambassador and with the passenger door staying locked or locking on its own and the recall on the exterior door handle sensors.
