Turn lights on and all of console goes black

When I turn on the headlights, all power goes off to the radio, navigation screen, etc., and everything on the console goes off. When I turn the lights off, everything on the console comes back on. Is this just a short in the headlight switch or the console?

The Genesis dealer said it's the control knob in the center of the console and the circuit board attached to it. Found many for sale on eBay I bought a good looking one and we'll have the dealer install it tomorrow
it is part 96540-3M300.
