Driv200
Been here awhile...
After my second highway trip, I learned a couple things some of you may not know yet:
*. When on map screen or during Nav mode, press down on knob for live traffic menu option. Clicking it brings up any reports within distance of 100 miles. Clicking any of the occurrences puts up the GPS map of the event! This was cool.
* advanced cruise should be called Super Advanced Cruise. Today, I was impressed how seamlessly the car sped up & slowed down on the freeway, through construction zones with traffic, and maintained preferred distance. Once when a car darted infront of me, brakes engaged..... And due to severity of auto braking, the system beeped to alert me. I almost hit the brakes, but waited to learn the Genesis applied harder & harder bringing car to safe speed & distance. Nice to know it works.
*. Also, with cruise active, the Genisis must have a "G" sensor. Taking a couple sweeping off ramps at 80mph, the cruise control allows cad to slowly decrease, if not coast, to complete turn before resuming back up to 80mph. Cool stuff.
(For any nannies out there, I am a 20yr high performance driving instructor on closed course race tracks around the country)
