  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all, just picked up a brand new 2024 G70 2.5 spprt prestige a few day ago. So far I love everything about the car except.............Connected Services. Dealer couldent get it connected, I've been on the phone several times with connected services, got a case number and was told the engineers are looking into it. I've tried the reset button on the dash, disconnected the battery for 15 minutes and still no go. I'm registered with Genesis to receive basic, advanced and ota map updates. Car just wont connect. Status says deprivisioned (6). Connected services says software should be updated. Anyone else run across this. I've read many posts of vehicles a few years old having this problem, but not much on new vehicles. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks in advance,
John

Wow, that's pretty poor on the dealership to not get it connected before you left the lot. I think mine was done with me in the car the day I went to pick it up.
Sometimes the software/app will not work because they are doing updates, but not very often.

Hopefully it's just a minor issue. Good luck and keep us posted.

I took delivery of a 2025 G70 a week and a half ago. The dealer delivered it to my house and did not set up connect services before they left. I downloaded the app and was able to set it up myself with no issues.

My car does not have the software update from November of last year that has wireless CarPlay so I’m using a wireless adapter which so far works fine. I initiated the over the air update from the screen in the car but I haven’t driven it much so it hasn’t yet completed it.

As an update to my post, the software update finished today. The version is dated 24-08-13. I thought this update included wireless CarPlay but it apparently doesn’t. I asked the tech guy at the dealer about that and he didn’t know. He suggested I call Genesis Connected Services to find out. Not so great customer service!

Instead of calling I went online and opened a ticket. In the meantime I’m fine using the wireless adapter I bought.

Evidently G70s do not support wireless Carplay even with the latest update. G70s have “Standard Class 5” navigation systems and only the “Premium Class 6” navigation systems can do wireless.

It’s really not an issue for me. I bought a $60 adapter on Amazon that works great. It looks like a memory stick and plugs right into the USB port with no cable. It does not interfere with using the wireless charging pad.

can you link to the amazon product. Wireless car play would be great to have.

on the orginal post. Did you get your G70 from a stand alone dealership or duel? I hope a duel. I would just make an appointment with the dealership and say please fix this.

It was a stand alone. But it's out of state 2 hours away. Buying process was absolutely fantastic. I have a local stand alone Genesis dealer who said they would handle it. I have a case number and I'll give it one more week to see if Genesis comes up with an answer. Love the car but we're off to a rocky start. Thanks

Just a thanks for all who replied to my original post. This morning my car decided to connect to connected services. Not sure why it took 10 days to do it, but everything seems good to go now. I hope this is the only bump in the road I'll have to deal with. Thanks again and safe driving out there.
