Equus Air suspension questions

Thinking of getting an Equus around 8-10k. I've heard the engine is reliable after 2012 but I'm concerned about needing to fix the air suspension if it goes out. Has anybody had any experience with air suspension problems? any good reviews of it are also greatly appreciated.

Another question: has anyone tried replacing the suspension, and if so what was your experience and what were the costs associated with that

I'm currently in the throws of the very same dilemma
I am also going to be building this platform out as much as I can. So I am keen to see what people think about a repair or replace with a spring set instead, won't have to worry about the air going flat then. I've been having issues with the ECS light coming on and the air leaking as I drive. Squirrelly as all hell when it does that too. Lol. If you are worried about cost, there are pairs of front shocks and rear bags or pillows or whatever they are called, no very much. 1200.00 for the kit, vs the 1350.00 for the spring kit. If you're doing it by yourself, as I am it's just fine for the price. If you're needing the work done I'd stack another 750 to 1000.

I ended up purchasing an Equus from someone who already installed the strut master kit all around and its not too bad. Kind of sucks that I can't change drive modes though, so now I'm stuck in eco. The ride quality is still somewhat lofty but potholes & bumps are noticeable, I haven't gotten the chance to test drive one with air suspension so I wouldn't be able to tell you the difference.

That's no good, is it just the ride hight that you cannot engage, because it's now static height? Or is it the actual computer not giving option to go into sport ?

I can't change the gear ratios when pressing the drive mode button.

That will keep me on the air bags then. That's a wild issue. I really appreciate your help mate. That's a big load off my plate. Perhaps, there is an ECU and TCu tune or mod you can look into to get them in the right mode? Not sure if you're settled in for the eco monster mode for this car.
