  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis lists various iPhone models as able to be used as digital keys, but says to download app from Google Play Store. As far as I know, that store only services Android devices. The Apple App Store does not show a Genesis digital key app.

Has anyone used this feature with an iPhone? If so, what app did you use and where did you find it?

Thank you.

Sorry if this is common knowledge… newbie Genesis owner here.

In the Apple App Store.

I do not see a Genesis-branded digital key app in the Apple App Store. What am I missing?

just download the Genesis app. The digital key is then set up through the info screen and operates through the Genesis app.

The digital key works like a charm. If you have an Apple Watch you don’t even need the phone.

I have a 2022 Launch Edition and I can't get my digital key to work... any thoughts? Does the software on the car need to be updated?

On the 22 model year, only Androids work and you'll need to do it through the Digital Key app, along with an active connected services account.

Even with the connected services account I wasn’t able to set it up.

Genesis Connected Services Support stated I may need to update the car software?

Maybe, check it out

Sadly, I learned that installation of the Genesis digital key on Apple iPhones requires Genesis Digital Key 2, which is a feature that is unavailable on many Genesis models, including my 2025 G70 with the smaller engine.

Yep, I discovered exactly the same thing with my 25 G70 2.5. I’m okay with it as it’s likely to be another connected services feature that fails to work intermittently. A lot of the new tech is “cool” and can be helpful but with more tech comes more opportunity for glitches.

I recently purchased a Genesis “key card.” However, neither my dealer’s service department nor Genesis’ Connected Services phone assistance have been able to pair it with my 2025 G70 2.5.

Connected Services seems to believe that the car’s software includes “digital key” pairing references, but none of the places they expected to find it on my screen or steering wheel contained any such references. I suspect that the key card, like the digital key, requires software found only in G70s with the larger engine.

The G70 has to be a 3.3 Advanced or higher for digital key.

Yes, but is the same true for the physical key card?

Hummh. I have the digital key on my 2023 GV60P and use my phone as my key all the time. The Monroney sticker for my car does say "digital key 2". It might be worth looking to see what your Monroney sticker says.
