  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Supercharger access - bad news (likely)

I drove my car to a cars and coffee in SoCal today
Nice! How did you hear about it? I go to SoCalEV events but I didn't hear about this event you are mentioning, must be some other group. (By the way, SoCalEV was originally a Tesla group, but we all get along fine.)

Holee sh*t - it appears that select Superchargers are now officially available to the GV60!!!!!

When I recently successfully charged at my local Supercharger, it was by telling the Tesla app that the car was an Ioniq5. That loophole was subsequently closed.

As of today, that same location shows available for a GV60!

This is also huge for SWMBO's upcoming road-trip to Scottsdale, as now there's an 84 (!!!!!) -stall Supercharger site in Quartzite that she can use, plus another in Buckeye AZ.

Oh happy day!!!! :oops::):giggle:

I have multiple Tesla superchargers now showing up for me in the Tesla app as "available with NACS port or adapter" that weren't there before. So that's super cool!

Unfortunately, it also has my Genesis GV60 range listed as 26 miles so there are "no chargers within my range." LOL...

So this assumes we have a supercharger dash compatible Max adapter? And Genesis has yet to provide one? So any 'other' we have is unsupported and may / may not void warranty? Just trying to understand the current landscape

Tesla’s FAQ now lists Genesis as a supported Supercharger vehicle.

The app asks for your vehicle's range when you add the vehicle. I'm guessing you may have accidentally entered 26 miles instead of 264 miles...

Yes.

Woo-Hoo! I listed G80 as my vehicle and it is also showing results in the app. Since I do not have an adapter yet :( I will need Magic Dock locations, right? I don't see how to filter those in the Tesla app or PlugShare. Any direction from the group would be appreciated.

Hopefully all the Tesla chargers survive in the wild based on the latest news of all the insane 2024 losing side nuts who (even though they want to go green) feel the need to now DESTROY everything with the name Tesla on it.

If you would like to receive the adapter go to your MyGenesis account and select Account, My Preferences, Communication Preferences, then Edit to verify your email communications are turned on.

Does anyone have experience with how long it will be until out in car maps show the Tesla chargers?

I'd like to blame Elon...but this sounds VERY much like something I would do.

Choose 'No' for the NACS port / NACS DC adapter option in vehicle details and that will display only magic dock locations in the Tesla app.

This is a pleasant surprise.

On the link noremacnova posted above, it says emails will start to go out the Week of Apr 7.

CANADA UPDATE

I got an email from a sales person in answer to my enquiry. Superchargers are available now but in order to access it you will have to buy the adaptor. An updated app and special offer (?? adaptor) to come in the second half of 2025. Not specifically saying a free adaptor but could be.

Lectron has their Vortex NACS to CCS adapter on sale for $184.99 with free shipping, although I don't know if that applies to Canada. Ordered mine today.
