  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When I paired my Droid X phoen to the Genesis, it automatically synced my contacts and uploaded them to the car. However, it missed a number of contacts. Since I have cleaned up my contact list on the phone and would like a clean upload to the car. What is the best way to do that?

Also, as we add and delete contacts from our phone, how are those changes carried over to the phonebook in the car?

the only way that i have found is to re-download the book everytime you make a change. there is not a auto-sync feature that i have found.

I just download mine last night and I am not sure of the exact steps, but I know you go into the phone menu and under phone book option there is an option to download phone book.

The Hyundai Bluetooth system will automatically sync your cell phone contact list to the Hyundai Bluetooth system phonebook.

Simply turn ignition key on, wait for your cell phone to indicate, "Connected to [vehicle model name]", wait for radio display to read, "connection complete" and then "transfer complete".

This is not true...at least for my 2011. Unless there is a setting that i have to turn on. I add new contacts all the time and the have never showed up unless I re download.

I deleted the old phone and paired again. At first it did not appear to download any of the contacts. I deleted the phone again, changed the name of the phone and paired again. Once again it did not appear to download the contacts. Drove around for a while and noticed that it downloaded to new contacts. So the conclusion I make from this is, it will download the contacts but it does not happen instantly, it takes a while.
