  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

April 2025 Navigation available for download

This "feels" right to me... car recognizes there is a new OTA, but it is not ready to apply (not downloaded, maybe prep/pre-routines still to do, whatever).
Nah. It means the car is capable of receiving ota updates. My car has always had the available message but cannot update until you get a message saying the update is ready or actually downloading.

So then why does my car, which has received two OTA updates and has a current Genesis Connect subscription, say “USB Update” instead of “Update Available”?

I’m not sure about.

My 2025 G70 has already received two OTA updates but not the most recent. Prior to the first update the Settings General screen said Update Available but I couldn’t initiate the update myself.

Now when I go to the Settings General screen it shows a grayed out USB Update even though there is a new update available.

I think Update Available may mean they’re acknowledging that there is a new update and they will initiate it OTA at some point in the future.
Your vehicle is running a different infotainment system than the GV60. The GV60 is running ccIC while the G70 is on Standard Gen5W. Features, menus, and settings are different.

My GV60 has always showed OTA available, regardless of there being an update. In the GV60, it’s just the vehicle stating that it has the capability.

This is a perfect example of why I don't seem to get along well with the GV60's infotainment - nothing much about the way it functions seems logical or obvious to me...

100% agreed there. That's another thing that makes the fumbled OTA rollout so frustrating. I can navigate a maze of menus when I'm parked, but there's no way I would be happy with just the standard infotainment. Regardless of the (IMO) well thought out variety of means to control the unit, the menus that send you in circles are needlessly confusing.

Not sure if this is posted elsewhere, but I think I discovered an improvement to the car that is part of the latest software update. Today I used wireless Android Auto to connect my phone to the car and display ABRP. I entered a destination in ABRP to let the app start calibrating for my car (OBD reader) and much to my surprise, the ABRP route guidance was displayed on my HUD.

Do you pay for ABRP premium?

Hey everyone. We leased a 2024 GV60 Performance a month ago, so I am still figuring out some of the software, but after doing the update (in Canada), noticed one or two changes, correct me if I am wrong though.

Previously, in Carplay, the touch sensitive part of the control knob would not work to navigate Carplay UI, but now seems to work fully. I am pretty sure it wasn't working before.

And to echo some of the feelings mentioned before, coming from a Tesla, night and day for the whole process. Way more seamless on Tesla, clear notice of the content and well documented. HMG somehow manages to boondoggle all three. One of the few things where I would appreciate car makers to imitate Tesla. No, I would not go back to one if given the option.

In my last OTA navigation upgrade last week I was thrilled to discover that both Google and Waze maps (using Apple CarPlay) now are displayed on both screens. Google maps shows your entire route on the right display while the drivers display is a zoomed-in image. Waze, unfortunately shows a mirror images on both displays. Also the quality and detail of the map display on the drivers display is brilliant, unlike the original “gray” image from Genesis. Haven’t found any other noticeable upgrades but the above is a huge improvement.

Hmmm! For some reason I’m not getting the google map to show up on the HUD, only the Apple map

You're getting Google maps displayed in your HUD and dash? Very interesting!

Which version of iOS and Google Maps are you running? I haven't seen this and I'm on iOS 18.5 and Google Maps version 25.17.0 and haven't seen it work that way in my vehicle with the latest software update. As far as I know, it's up to Google to add the support for HUD and Dash maps.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

Not hud, but yes I've seen Google maps in the dash screen. And this was actually before the April maps update.

To be clear, you’re using Apple CarPlay and have seen Google Maps in the dash/gauge cluster screen and not just the center screen? I’ve seen Apple Maps and ABRP maps in the dash/gauge cluster, but not Waze or Google.

Apologies, missed the earlier reference. No, no Carplay here, Android phone (pixel 8). Yes, Google Map in gauge/cluster. Did it by accident. I mistakenly changed displays with the left rocker switch IIRC while driving? I don't recall if I was using directions at the time, I want to say "no" but can't swear to it.

No worries, that makes perfect sense. With Android Auto you should have Google/Waze support in the gauge cluster and HUD. Google has yet to add the feature to their iOS apps.

I was finally able to download the update files and copy them to a USB drive. After formatting the drive a second time, the files finally "stuck" (remained on the drive).

Plugged the drive into the car, NAV seems to have updated, but after a LONG wait for what was apparently the second part of the update to process, the "audio system update" failed - on 2 separate occasions. No idea why or what that means...

Total time spent: more than 3 hours, AND it didn't finish.

Contrast this with the Tesla OTA update process: (I've done at least 30 updates over the past 7 years, on 3 different cars)

1) Update availability notice appears on car's screen
2) Choose "Now" or "Schedule for later" ( default time is 2:35 AM)
3) Wake up to an updated car with a full set of release notes available both on the car's screen AND in the Tesla app.

Done.

Total time spent: ~5 seconds, to acknowledge/schedule the update.

Software-defined vehicles can be fantastic, when done correctly. Our GV60 is decidedly NOT an example of how to do it.
I had a polar opposite and PERFECT experience.
I notice some different things happening in my infotainment so I came to the forum to see if there was and update. I checked the "Settings-General" and found that my system updated automatically on 4-24-2025. I had ZERO interaction. I hope you guys get this experience on the next update.

Questions, questions, questions...
So, I have the update. I can select Tesla stations in the nav filter. But when I do I get no Tesla results. I have turned off all other stations and turned on all the DCFC kW values and still no results. Also, I checked the tesla app and there are non-tesla vehicle stations (Adapter required) within 10 miles. Am I missing a toggle button?

Short answer is I don't know. Longer answer is remember we only have access to V3 and V4 chargers ... Not V1 / 2
