BIG NEWS! There is a TSB that fixes 2017-2019 G90 Connected Services

@Mrskin I just checked the POI Google search function on my mirror. Works perfectly. I have found that there are occasional locations that don’t get signal. Make sure that isn’t your problem. What error are you getting? Do remote lock and remote start work?

So, as you can see, I can ask it to send me to a location and it’ll come back with a no response. I rebooted the head unit with the reset button using a paperclip and wouldn’t you know it everything is working as of today. I am bewildered and baffled. Stay tuned. I’ll let you know if it disappears again, but as of right now everything is back to normal. The POI did not work for almost one week, thanks guys

This wasn't mentioned specifically, but I'm guessing this also fixes the issue with the services from Sirius? The Sirius Travel Link service. I had to cancel mine and subscribe to their traffic only service because having travel link made it where nothing worked.

This fix has nothing to do with Sirius. Sirius fixed that problem a while ago. When did you first notice it?

I need to give it a shot and see if it works now then. I don't recall when it stopped working. I'm sure I brought it up on this forum somewhere.

That was part of Sirius’s holiday tunes fiasco. That has been fixed for many months. It’s safe to add Travelink traffic and data back onto your account. Happily they did make the same goof this holiday although I was holding my breath. All good, though

My POI has not had any problems nor have any kind of outage.

Yes the car modem is now working again! Just got back from my dealer. TSB 23-BE-012G Software Update for Dis 2.0 Head Units has been released and is now available. It’s on a USB stick that the dealer has and can install. Not downloadable. Took about 15 minutes. I already had a new head unit installed a few months ago but that did not fix the problem. This TSB restored all services except Google search on the mirror (is that working for any G90?)

Too 8 months but they said it would work and it does. For all those who said the hardware is broken and only 3G, that is incorrect. This is proof.

So all you have a 2017-2019 G90 and you are paying for connected services, it’s all back working again. Many thanks to @csmaslin for encouraging me to keep on top of this.

I had that,one installeed to no avail. The TSB did to “replace head unit.” I found out Found out that Genesis begins from Date of original sale and NOT from the original inception of service order. That being said, I was “ out of warranty”. Aftermarket warranty covered 80%, but I was liable for 20% of the new acquisition fees. Plus the $100 to aftermarket warranty..
All,this being Said, the dealer installed a 4G enabled replacement head unit.
it Bloody Worked after being on them since 2019. All seems well.
I wrote Claudia Marquez a letter outlining my concerns and inequities.
Bottom lines: Genesis gave me two years of complete Genesis services at no charge. And they are sending me a $100 gift card to cover my deductible to my aftermarket Hyundai warranty.
The 5 Year outcome of this 3G su setting proved to be fair and equitable coming down from Claudia Marquez offices.

Yes assuming you head unit is not broken and you have a paid subscription for “all of them”

Well no luck for me. The dealer has the USB and they said once they plug it in its showing "No available files" so they cannot perform the TSB. They told me most likely the head unit need to be replaced but im out of warranty so that would be a nice $3200 price tag on that. Also they state that my services are expired even though I'm subscribed till 11/05/2023. What a joke. No remote functions for me I guess.

Curious to know how you made out. Were you able to get the head unit replaced for free even though you were out of warranty?

UPDATE. So here is the deal. I went to a local dealer last week and told them to perform TSB 23-BE-012G Software Update. They had no idea what that was and basically performed a regular navigation update that you download online and called it a day. I said whatever and I left, connected services still not working. Today i tried a different local dealer. Told them about TSB 23-BE-012G Software Update and they knew exactly what I was talking about. They told me since I'm out of warranty it will be 1 hour of labor so here its $185. I agreed. And guess what. My connected services are back up and running! I can finally remotely start the vehicle and the app updates, plus its finally showing good signal on the radio as it should not the red circle showing no signal. There are dealers out there that have no idea what or how to do this update, guess it depends. I went in, told them Genisis connected services told me to perform TSB 23-BE-012G Software Update and that's what they did, and I finally have connected services working, haven't worked since January. I wish everyone else good luck and that TSB seems to help a lot of people getting it to work. The 2023 TSB does not work anymore if you had applied the 2023 software update. That's my case. GCS is not working after 2023 software update. And 2023 TSB is not fixing it.

There is a new TSB released in 2024 (TSB 24-BE-012G). I have yet to have it applied.

was at service a few days ago. they said they applied 2024 TSB but nothing has changed. I can't use GCS for over 18 months now. thinking of getting rid of the Genesis, although I love the drive of the car.

My car has been at the dealer for 4 months now. I have no idea what they have been doing. They told me they have replaced the head unit twice and I can unlock/lock the doors but still cannot remote start. I get a message to make sure vehicle is in a good coverage area so they moved it to another open area and still the same error. Makes no sense to me.

So the same thing has been happening to me and my car has been here for almost that long as well. There is a external antenna buried in the dashboard that might be the issue. This antenna isn’t listed on a service bulletin anywhere and a lot of dealerships or service techs don’t even know it exist.They put these in the 18 and 19 model years
I did I test today with the dealership and everything seemed to work after 5 months of being there . Fingers are crossed that that’s what the problem was.
