  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm embarrassed to say but I had a Ford Fusion. I dont know what I was thinking. But, Im going on almost one month with my G80 and I love everything about this car. Any suggestions on a cleaning product that will stop dust accumulation?

Don't feel bad, I had a Ford Focus at one time. Believe it or not, I was kind of impressed with it as I had not had either a Ford or GM product in quite a long time before it. It was actually a pretty well-built little vehicle. Though I didn't like the dual clutch transmission. I imagine the Fusion was a good bit better... But, yes, the Genesis G80 is a big step up. Congratulations!

Relating to a cleaning product... Nothing I'm aware of can truly stop dust from accumulating forever, but you can definitely use products that will slow it down by reducing the static charge on a surface.

You can buy a product that's specifically labeled as an anti-static spray. These products create a protective barrier on a surface that helps to repel dust. Another great option is to use a high-quality microfiber cloth that has been treated with a cleaning product that has anti-static properties. Many of these products are designed for electronics, but they work great on cars too. You can often find them at your local auto parts store or online.

Another good and very simple tip is to use a product that contains a small amount of an oil or wax. These products can trap dust and prevent it from flying around, making it easier to clean. However, a buildup of these products can attract dust and grime over time, so you have to be careful not to overuse them. The most important thing is to keep up with regular cleaning, as even the best product won't work on a heavily soiled surface.
