  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Do I need a brake flush on my 2023 Genesis G70 with 37K miles? I'm skeptical that dealer recommended. Thanx

Hyundai/Genesis seems to have problems with corrosion in the ABS modules. For that reason, I would do it. Note that you don't have to get the dealer to do it. It is an easy DIY, or you could find an independent shop to do it.

I've seen recommendations of every two years. Personally, I've never done that. When we did our own work a long time ago, we'd adjust and bleed the brakes so that flushed some of the fluid.

In the manual for my G80, is says to inspect, I see nothing to replace it. My dealer did all the service and never mentioned it.

Since brake fluid is affected the most by moisture (vs. any other auto fluid/oils), it's typically a good idea to change it out every 3yrs. Your car will still stop w/ old brake fluid but won't be as effective, and the boiling point will get lower over time too. Really depends if you just drive your car or REALLY drive your car.
