  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I received this email today, also. I actually had another call with with GMA on Tuesday and found out my case had been closed. She re-opened the case and had me re-tell her the story. She was very response and polite, as many of us had previously experienced. But, my biggest concern was that she seemed confused and unaware of the NACS adapter promotion. When she sent me my email, she mentioned that she had submitted a request for an extension of the promotion. Needless to say, this raised an eyebrow for me but I decided to let it ride. Now that you report getting this email, I suspect my receipt has nothing to do with my call this week. :(

I was coming here to post the exact same thing. Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

This is literally the first communication I have ever received from Genesis regarding the NACS adapter.

I had been contacted by Genesis Customer Service recently in response to my latest email inquiry and after having been extremely patient and understanding in all of my previous communications I was irate and forceful (but respectful) this time around.

Not sure there is any correlation, but the person apologized for the delays and assured me that i would receive communication soon.

Let's hope this has a happy ending for those of us who have been waiting for months.

Status update… 2 weeks after my last call to Genesis I finally received their email stating my Tesla adapter has been ordered. Their email also stated that delivery may take up to 16 weeks. So… my case number was assigned in May 2025 and I should receive the adapter NLT Feb 2026 (9-months total response time). My lease ends Nov 2026. As I noted previously, I’m not likely to lease or buy another Genesis after this experience combined with their terrible service department availability (impossible to contact by phone, email, or text).

No, it has everything to do with you making the call. My case number for the adapter was also closed. By my estimation this was done around July 31st when the promotion ended (after the date extension). I was only placed on the list to receive an adapter after calling and inquiring the status of my open case to receive the adapter. I got the "16 week" email after the call. See my August 12th post.
I called again last week to ask what the start date of my 16 weeks was. It is August 28th when I received the email.

I got the same email, but I don't believe it for a moment. Look at the wording "There may be a delay in receiving the adapter based on demand."
More CYA bullshit from Genesis

I got this email as well last week.

For those that received your adapters already, can you comment on which shipping service was used? Thanks!

It’s being shipped via USPS. Hopefully not too many of us are left, and this thread can die. Now where the hell is our bi-yearly OTA updates. lol

I just received my ship notification and a USPS tracking number. This after Genesis told me last week it would be another 16 weeks. Finally an under promise and over deliver. 😃

I got the email as well. For those on here who received that email in the past (I know distribution has been hodgepodge-some got an email, some didn't), roughly how long was it between receipt of the email and receipt of the charger. I realize the "there may be a delay" language is a CYA measure but "hoping," if only as a guide, there's some consistency in others' experience of when they got the email vs receipt of charger. thoughts? thx

I received the "YOUR SHIPPING INFORMATION HAS BEEN CONFIRMED” 12 days ago and it shipped today. It will arrive in a few days.

I just received the shipping confirmation email with a USPS tracking number. The Post Office tracking website says the number has been generated by the shipper but the package is not yet in the hands of the USPS. I'll check again in a couple of days and hopefully will have a delivery date. It's been a long road to get here and I'm not holding my breath until the adapter is in my hands.
I can't imagine the extra costs that Genesis incurred in trying to manage this botched promotion. The hours in customer service calls, the follow up emails, the internal emails that must have been flying around and chewing up valuable employee time and killing productivity, to say nothing of the ill will they created toward Genesis as a company. This is a B-School case study on how to turn a good relatively inexpensive, positive marketing idea into a giant clusterf*%$.
How many GV60s are out there anyway? By all accounts they are not selling anywhere near the rate of their corporate siblings, the Ioniq 5 and EV6. I assume those owners also received adapters and apparently without the same fuss and bother that Genesis had.

Sorry I'm off topic but G80s just got one.
Still waiting for the USPS email.

I can't recall if this was discussed, about 3 weeks ago I received a message that an update was coming that would render the backup camera unavailable during the update. I have yet to see the update. Does a notification about an update count?

I saw that same message 2-3 weeks ago, and this afternoon the car did the update. The whole process took about 2 minutes, then the dash rebooted (but not the rest of the car). I was in the garage so I didn't try to back up, I just waited until it was done. I can't really see any significant difference in the car since the update completed.

Good to know. My car is at the dealer this week so I can't say if mine received the update yet. Please share if you see any changes from the update.

Have you noticed that the remaining battery icon in the drivers display is all of a sudden much more vibrant green?

That is about the only change I've noticed.

Was the email from Genesis or was it a USPS Informed Delivery/Expected Delivery email? I received a USPS Expected Delivery email for something coming from Denver Colorado but there is no information about who the shipper is.

The email I received is from Genesis with a link to USPS tracking that is still showing pre-ship information and not telling me the origin yet. I also use informed delivery and it is showing in the "awaiting from sender" section of my daily digest. Hopefully I will get more clarity from USPS today.
