OMG, that is funny! Good for the tire business though, we can sell six now instead of just four.

The final product may look better that the concept show, but you can be sure it won't be parked in my driveway.

I seriously doubt the six wheels will make it to the production model. My assumption is that feature is only there to give people a reason to talk about their concept. But, I guess - when all is said and done - people may like this vehicle. I imagine it will probably be the ultimate ride in comfort type of vehicle...

Remember their primary market is not the US or even the rest of the world - it is Japan. If an executive minivan is what their elite consumers in Japan want - then that is what they will make. As most elite execs worldwide are going to full size SUVs - this may be their way to try to get there on the cheap. Who knows what their reasoning is? But it does show that the Toyota Mothership is not as interested in actually addressing the now cropping up quality issues which are impacting sales. If this mentality spreads to their more bread & butter lines it's going to be a problem for them, and an even bigger problem for consumers.

Lexus? No. Toyota does - the Sienna. But by no means would I call that an Executive Minivan (ie: a minivan up to Lexus interior standards). From what I can see - that is the intended direction of this.

I feel kinda bad deleting your messages. Hardly anyone is aware of the Lexus minivan. I mean, not many really care about it.

Luxury minivans are basically what limos used to be to ferry around VIPs in certain Asian markets (there's a lux version of the Kia Carnival in Korea with a raised roof).

I'd say that the LS leaving the market is a reason for the G90 to stick around in NA a while longer (those former LS owners have to go somewhere).

As long as the G90 still has a viable market in Korea, Genesis will keep investing in the G90 (not having a viable market in Japan is a major reason for the demise of the LS).

We'll see how much impact the upcoming GV90 has on G90 sales in Korea; if it's a big enough dent, may spell the end for the G90.

Yes, very true - like the Mercedes Sprinters... That's how the super wealthy get around on wheels... And yes, it does make sense that the Genesis G90 can soak up a lot of the Lexus LS market - just like the LS did when the full size luxury domestics went away (Cadillac Fleetwood and Lincoln Town Car)...

Can't I drive a luxury car in comfort?), NO advance in design/power or basically anything notable - heck, I think the first gen refreshes were probably the best LSs there ever were. I thoroughly enjoyed 10 years with my 2010 LS460, but I knew very well I was done with Lexus when I was shopping for a new car (and ended up with my G90). Also, if you saw what the 2026 ES is going to look like, you know you don't want that atrocity done to any flagship car. RIP Lexus LS.

On top of that, quality isn't what it used to be either. The biggest thing separating Lexus from Toyota, nowadays, is sound insulation. What else, really? The second generation LS was the last really good one - though the design of the third generation was nicer, in my opinion. Yes, that first generation mid-cycle refresh was probably the best thing they ever did. And it boggles my mind how every car has to be about a firm ride and huge wheels - without even a choice in the top model of whichever vehicle you buy. Yes, I want pure luxury - and that's how Lexus basically did away with Cadillac - as they chased BMW.

Lexus has been doing the same thing... The new ES is kinda hideous... I actually liked the predator grille generation... Everything looks like a Toyota now.

I don’t think it is going away. They are just stepping back because they have lost ground. They will relaunch with the Century lineup. I bet they were surprised by how much love was given to the Century when the US and Canada started imported their twenty year old models. I was certainly impressed. Especially with the pass through for the legs.

They should have been sending those over since they started production.

That would be interesting. You're thinking they'll export some of their Century models as Lexus models - with one to replace the LS? Or are you feeling they'll bring over the Century brand?
