  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I had an unfortunate accident t last night and my GV60 performance is no longer. I wanted. To grab a Magma which theey initially said 4th qr which next month is end of 4th qr and still hasn't even been released to see finally specs let alone start shipping. Having one car iss doable but is going to get old fast. Anyone offer any insight? TIA

I was just at our very nice new Genesis dedicated dealer and here’s what I heard from the sales team/manager. All GV60 production in Korea has been suspended without any potential dates for start-up. Getting a 2026 to spec (only one on the lot and it was a STD model) or special order is not possible at this time. Additionally, when I asked about the Magma last time, I was told by the manager that all GV60 Magma units have been pre-sold and not likely to be had in the North America market.

This was sad news on 2 accounts. 1, that GV60 sales have tanked (so said several staffers there), 2, these amazing EVs may die on the vine (parts/service?). Crazy times for EV owners and potential purchasers.

I was told the same thing on Saturday, probably at the same dealership.

Europeans make fun of us for our large cars (unfairly because we have wider straighter roads than they do) but some of us actually prefer a smaller vehicle like the GV60P or Magma (like me). But, unfortunately, there are not enough of us to support the manufacturing of the cars. Maybe this will show up instead:

You probably realized this, but that video is AI generated. The charge port is in the wrong place (and there is no charge port on the side where it belongs), there is no tow bar (the trailer is just kind of floating behind the car) and Tesla's won't charge while driving. Other than that, hilarious.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

Yes...I did but I think it was hilarious and wanted to share it.

The latest from KCB is the Magma will "make its grand debut" on November 20th.
That's the first day of the LA Auto Show, actually the 20th is media day, so they are probably having an event there.

Big bummer, sorry. No info on Magma, but my local Toyota dealer will do mid length (monthly) rentals for a lot less than Hertz, etc.. Not sure if any Genesis dealers are equipped to do something like that, but if you plopped down an advanced deposit on a Magma, I would ask them for a cheepy rental deal out of their trade in inventory going to auction until they deliver your baby....

Not a bad idea. I guess the 20th is launch day, just a few days away. Unsure how long ill have too wait beforre they arrive maybe a month? Hopefully before the holiday but definitely will ask my salesman about above. I dont mind paying out of pocket for a rental if I have to but so far we haave been surviving ok.

I was at the LA Auto Show on Thursday and got to sit in the Magma for as long as I wanted, which turned out to be about ten minutes (I didn't time it). This was the media/press day so the show floor was pretty quiet, especially since it was about 3PM by the time I got to the Genesis booth.

On the inside, the cockpit arrangement is EXACTLY like my 2024 Advanced GV60. The biggest difference is the seats, which are much stiffer and strongly bolstered. Probably not as comfortable on long drives, but not bad. The seats do have heating and cooling, which I think is missing from the Ionic 5N. Also the seats are motorized, which again I think the 5N doesn't have. Other than that, every single button is in the exact same spot as on my car. With your eyes closed, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The "Mode" button was named "Magma" (??), while the Boost button (which my car of course doesn't have) was still called Boost. I think maybe the steering wheel had an addition spoke on the bottom. Oh, and the roof is solid, there's no sunroof/moonroof or opening of any kind. The instrument gauges were different, but since obviously I couldn't drive the car I couldn't really understand what the gauges meant - in the mode the car was in there were 3 temperature guages.

It would be crazy for me to buy this car, I don't drive my Advanced to more than probably a third of its potential. I'm not really into fast driving. I almost certainly won't buy this car, but all that being said, I find it tempting! I guess I'd have to buy a Cosmic Orange iPhone Pro Max to go with it :ROFLMAO: 99.9% I'm sticking with my current GV60, but I did think this was the coolest car at the show. As you can see, I had full access to everything, I was able to open the trunk, glove box (still a sliding drawer), etc. I thought about trying to open the frunk but I chickened out, now I kind of regret that.

It looks just like my GV60P. One big difference, and one I don't like, is the change from a two spoke to a three spoke steering wheel. I prefer to rest my hand(s) on the bottom of the steering wheel when I drive and the third spoke gets in the way.

It is tempting but I have all the power I need in my GV60 Performance. But there is one exception: I am not fond of the handling in the twisties (as the Brits like to say) of my GV60P. We won't know how much better it is in that regard until it is more than a concept car in a car show.

Not a fan of canards and winglets.

Looks cool - thanks for sharing!

Center console charging pad configuration is quite different than our 2023 P.

Revised EV6GT has an electric driver’s seat too, but I don’t know about heating/cooling.

Interesting comment about the seat firmness/comfort. I’m not necessarily surprised, since more heavily-bolstered sport seats generally aren’t better for longer/normal driving, but I don’t find the seats in our P to be super comfortable as it is. They’re already too firm for my taste.

One would expect the Magma’s handling to be better and the virtual gear shifting could be entertaining for some people, but I do wonder how the Magma will be priced…

I think this is not a concept car, but a pre-production car. I think they are going to be actually delivering these to customers very soon, at least in Korea. However, whether it is a concept car or not, you are right that we can't know the details of the handling characteristics by sitting in it at a car show.

Oh yes, right, I didn't think of that - partially because I never use the charging pad, but also because I just spent a couple of weeks in a 2026 GV70 and the charging pad configuration was just like this Magma.
