  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

however, they mention a lot about recalls which I admit are not good but are usually resolved without issue and once gone are gone. I really care more well does the interior hold up, do the seats still look good after 5, 7 or 10 years. Does the car start and mostly trouble free except for general maintenance.

So far my G70 has been pretty good. I had the water in the headlight issue and still have the sensor problem but overall pleased.

Exactly. CR's scoring heavily penalizes those early recall headlines, even after fixes. For long-term ownership, you're spot on. The Genesis interiors are known to hold up really well. The leather and materials age better than many rivals. If yours has been mostly good, that's the real-world data that matters most. Keep up with the maintenance and enjoy it.

I've had my '23 for just over 2 years/16K kms now; I had the brake rotors replaced under warranty for the uneven pad deposits. I can't think of the last new car that I've owned that's had so few issues - maybe the Lexus IS300 I bought in 2001?

My '23 G70 has been a blast to drive and hasn't given me any issue.
Over 2 years and over 17k miles.
