  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2025 CPO GV60 Performance or New Model Y w acceleration boost

What idiosyncracies? There are many with Tesla (having to look sideways to see how fast you are going, no HUD, variable FSD, etc.). I think there are handling issues with the GV60 compared to what I would like but what else?

Wow - where to start??

Okay, since you asked, here's a start:

You owe it to your battery

Genesis GV60 vs Tesla Model Y - It’s close, but there’s a clear winner

I could go on, but 🤷‍♂️

My list is much simpler. Model Y is ugly by comparison. I'd be embarrassed to have it in my driveway.

I don't view those as idiosyncrasies but to each their own.
I agree. The GV60 is mostly just like any other car most of us have driven all our lives. If someone old (like me) were to get into one and didn't bother trying to set up a profile, they would have no problem driving it. The only difference would be the gear shift. Get in, put your foot on the brake, push the start button, if need be push the correct memory seat button, put it in gear and drive. All the controls are just where they have likely been for the last 4 cars you've owned. There might be a few, oooo what's that moments (HUD, blind spot monitor, surround view monitor) but mostly just like any other car. Probably the hardest thing to learn would be how to use the radio.

Interesting comment.

The OP likely doesn’t share your opinion, so how does expressing it help them?

You’re thinking maybe your disdain will sway their decision?!? 🤦‍♂️

Don't know, don't care, just my opinion. The Model S is not bad, but I'd not own any other Muskmobile.

OP already said "I understand there will be at least some GV60 bias here" so I don't know that any _anti_MY bias would be a shock ;)

And that’s fair, and understandable.

However, doing nothing more than calling one of the OP’s potential choices ugly is both worthless as input to the discussion AND rude to the OP.

Re-read his first post. Here is a quote: "I welcome your opinions."
I gave him mine, as requested. Up to him, not you, to put a value on it.

I think this is fair. I used to be a BMW owner/driver and still would be if the front end of the cars hadn't gotten so unnecessarily ugly. I had test driven the iX and i4 (the only BMW EVs at the time) and both drove well but I couldn't handle the appearance. I think in a forum it is fair for me to say that I think the BMWs have gotten ugly. Both the OP and EdP are entitled to their "opinions" regarding the Teslas including their appearance.
