  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi there! I just got my first Genesis, a new 2026 GV70 3.5T Sport Advanced. Just picked it up last weekend so I'm still getting to know it (and this forum).

Thanks for the welcome!
I had a 2015 Dodge Durango R/T. It's been a great car for the last 10 years but was bigger than I need these days and a little thirstier.

Nice vehicle. I've always liked them - in each generation. Yes, the GV70 should give you better fuel economy. How are you liking the GV70 compared to the Durango R/T? How do the two compare?

It's hard to compare them, even though they're SUVs that are quick. They have roughly the same HP and torque but the GV70 is about 500 lbs lighter, which gives it a bit of a performance edge.

The Durango was much larger and had storage all over the place, but it also had lots of wasted space most of the time.
Tech in the Durango was also 7-10 years older so things like adaptive cruise control were a little quirkier. But it did have physical buttons which, to me, was a big plus.

I'm still on a learning curve with the GV70. Lots to love!

I can tell you, I don't miss the extra vibration and rattles that come with a 10 year old car! ;)
