  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Awesome forgotten feature: AUTO HOLD

... instead of asking for input here. We've already chimed in...

I respect BackToHyundaibychoice, but I don't like this post. I think this sort of tone discourages participation in the forum. It's not like the guy is spamming or anything. By my count he only asked two questions in the entire thread, and the first one wasn't even if anything was wrong but instead if anyone loved AH as much as he did.

Anyway, the actual inspiration for this post is that I tried this after lunch today and mine is all on or all off -- either full braking or when AH is disengaged via the gas pedal (no matter how slightly I press the gas) the car is back in regular mode until the brake is pressed again. So, probably either the OP's behavior is by design in some earlier model of car I don't have, or else he has a defect. An enviable defect, apparently, but a defect nonetheless. :-)

Sorry if the tone offended, but you've just confirmed my point. In the time it's taken to post here his SM or SA could've told him that his AH is defective and a likely safety issue. At the least, that his brake system needs inspecting.
After that he could do a "community service" by posting the situation and resolution.
I agree that many issues can/should be discussed here first. But I sometimes wonder why some issues aren't addressed with the dealer first. Especially those that appear safety related.

Thanks for the reminder. I used it this weekend and it really helps relieve pressure on my sore back.

I love this feature. I first got familiar with it in my 2006 BMW 750Li and then again in my 2008 Lexus LS460L.. In between I had a 2007 BMW 335i which DIDN'T have it. I was so spoiled by the feature for the couple of years before that I actually engaged the hand (parking) brake at every light until I got the Lexus with the "hold" feature...

And I've NEVER heard of this "hold" feature allowing people to "creep" slowly forward. Something is wrong...
