  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am ready to buy a 2011 Genesis 4.6 this week and am wondering what choices I will have when programming the car. Are there things that the dealer must set up using the service department computer or can it all be self adjusted through the cars system? Thanks for your advice.

go to www.hmaservice.com and "sign up" for an account. You'll be able to view/download service bulletins, service manuals, etc... and for what you want: PDF copies of the owner's manual and DIS (Driver Information System, it's the stereo+Nav stuff) manuals. Then you can browse those to see various options - those you can tweak in the user-setup menus and those you'll need dealer help for. On the Tech cars though most, if not all, "settable" things are available through regular DIS menus.

I starting to like Hyundai more and more ...

I never find TSB as easy as Hyundai ... even have a web site for all these info ...that's free. Great job.

has anyone tried to sign up recently.....I have tried and no success.....I have been unable to review the agreement terms and also cannot select a car...

anyone else having this problem or am I doing something wrong.

Thanks

This did work for me last year, but I can't get the service agreement to appear either. (Tried Safari and Firefox on a Mac, haven't tried Windows yet.)

My problems happen using Firefox......switched to IE8 and all worked OK.....however, some of the images require Adobe SVG Viewer......adobe has discontinued supporting this free download and doesn't have a version for Win7.....

Got the owners manual for my Genesis but looking for the manula for the nav system......

Try IE8

The 2011 4.6 always has the tech package. Most everything can be self adjusted using the car systems, or setting systems screen.

You can even change whether you want just the drivers door to unlock or all doors to unlock when you use your key fob or button...

Key fob? Button?
How quaint...:D

Alright BTHBC,

You're making me feel very old and very out of the loop.

The worst thing is I know you're making fun of me...but still I don't quite get it!?

I would NEVER make fun of you! I was just having some fun:
Our cars don't require use of the fob or touch of the button to open the doors, all or one. Simply put your hand between the handle and door and they all unlock!
Though I admit you have to press the button to lock the doors. What were they thinking?
