Yeah seriously. Congrats man. A bunch of us from the NYC area should go to Sammies in City Island one day soon. The Acura is nice, but that 12 in Black is awesome.

there are already some meets in Brooklyn Belt Pkway Exit 5 BestBuy every Wed around 9pm, sometimes we have it at Hooters in Queens between LIE exits 25 and 26.

Usually a bunch of Acuras and Infiniti's come together...don't ask.

that's a location marker. What you can do is put a small eye patch over one eye and point the other eye at whatever it is you wanted to see, that should do it

Or, someone could have used the crop feature of an image editing program (not to mention the delete button to get rid of duplicate pics).

Nothing wrong with photos, but most of them seem like the same photo or almost identical. There is Photo Album section of this forum.

Is it just me or did Hyundai really reserved their headlight LED by frosting it? I wish I could mod it like Audi or something.

Contrary to others, I like the back style with chromed exhaust. One thing I don't really like is the headlight LED. I never saw it during the night and it is a little disappointing. Is it because how the picture is taken?

That other car keeps getting in the way of your Genesis.....

I own the other car and there are quite a few areas where the Genesis is not living up to it, let me list a few:

1. locking doors, Genesis makes the most annoying CLUNK
2. The headliner and visor liner in the RL feels nice and smooth, in Genesis it's like sand paper
3. upgraded SS lines on the RL give a much better response when braking
4. gas pedal is much more linear, there is no dead space like the Genesis
5. cooled seats on both sides
6. Radar cruise control also has the braking system where the car will alert the driver if a car is approached too fast by flashing light, tugging seat belt or full on brake smashing (while not on cruise control), Genesis flashes a red light at you
7. scrolling through the map is jerky and the load times are longer than the RL
8. There is no awd option and RL has one of the best AWD systems available today with torque vectoring front and rear as well as side to side.
9. RL door handles, put your hand in and the door opens, Genny requires a button Push...that's annoying. You can touch a barely visible dimple on the RL to close door, with Genesis it's a black button
10.Automatic wipers...I can't get them to do what I want no matter how much I tried twisting the "suggestion know" as I call it. I want the basic wiper control back!

as far as the Genesis, I am enjoying tons of power, much better gas mileage, the car is in the color that I wanted (major points) and it's got front/rear sensors for parking, I love that. HD radio is a nice touch.

The woofer in the RL is stronger, 17 speakers ain't as impressive as I was hoping they would be. 10 Speaker Bose system in the RL kicks @$$ and Lexicon didn't really show me that it has double the output, just more speakers...

so yea...I am partial to the RL as I've modded it midly to the point where it became a pretty serious car, I came from a TL so it felt pretty crappy prior to some modding. That is why the car is in the shoot, I am catering to two forums

The seats in the RL are much more comfortable too and the foot rest in the Genesis...I'd like to get my hands on the small guy in planning who used his own foot to make it as my size 10 foot DOES NOT fit, not even close. The best foot rest? Honda Civic!

Thanks for the extra pics. I didn't realize that the display between the speedometer and tachometer is much more functional in the '12s. It looks like it duplicates some of the information on the main DIS display.

yes, the little LCD does provide quite a bit of info. My favorite function is disabling the eco mode.

Otherwise GPS can be useful, seeing the radio stations is definitely a good one and MPG does make u feel a lil better. It also has one for compass.

LOL... How do you drive with that mouse suit on?

How does the '12 Genny handle the potholes in NY? Can you really tell if the suspension has been improved over past years?

That center display is cool. Is that same info repeated in the DIS display like older models?

How does the back seat warmers work? Are they as nice as the front seats?

I also like the pics of the car with MM in them. Can you do the same angles without the mouse and publish. That front end angle is awesome.
