Put a deposit on 2012 4.6

Well, I did it. I put an AMEX deposit on a 2012 4.6 Platinum. Got it for $39,162 before TTL with 5 years of free oil, oil filter and lubes. Did I do good? I'm getting badges all the way around but they're out of center wheel badges. I'm signing papers in 4 hours (its 2:07 PST right now) so would appreciate any feedback I get prior to that time.

You will love this car! Not sure how much you needed AWD or even SH-AWD in the TL but everything else will be significant upside over the TL.

For that price... I hope you got the badges included and installed? Pretty good price even if the badges were not included.

Badges not included. Best I could do in LA. Tried a number of different dealerships. It's below Circle and Zag though. So I feel pretty good about it. Either way, getting close to $5,000 - $6,000 off a new model is still unbelievable. My Acura dealer wouldn't deal at all.

Kevin, I pretty know inventories in SoCal. Tuttleclick has a number of Genesis some 3.8's, 2 4.6's, and 1 Premium/Tech 3.8. Check Laguna Niquel. Oxnard has an R-spec. Parkway has 4.6's. Glendale Hyundai has nice salesmen who lovew cars but only base inventory.

What I did was negotiate the best price I could working sevrral dealers against one another, went and found the car I wanted, told the winning bid where the car was, and they went and got it.

Now, for all you folks in SoCal. Glendora Hyundai wasa great to deal with. Better than my past Acura dealers. We agreed on a price and that was it. No trying to up-sell or cross-sell. They did low ball the trade-in but I had a CARMAX quote ready for $4K more. They had one of their people follow me to the nearest CARMAX, wait while I sold the car, and drive me back. took abut an hour. I love people who'll do what they have to do to get a deal done.
