  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello! I just got my Genesis R-Spec today and brought it home. I want to mod the emblems and center caps to the Genesis wing emblems.

Two questions - First, are the center cap emblems available on ebay the same for the R-Spec as they are for the 18" wheels?

Second - are all the wing emblems the same? I see several sellers and want to make sure I'm getting the offical ones and not some bootleg.

Thanks!

Yes, those are the ones I put on my R spec (and in fact the same vendor).

Make sure you order the manufacturer's wing emblem - they come with the proper studs for the trunk lid. They will have to be shaved off if you plan to put it on the hood.

:welcome:

Enjoy the ride!

Is there a vendor or recommended way to tell if you're getting the factory emblem? I'm assuming this is OK?

The listing says it is a Genuine MOBIS OEM product. I can't imagine that anyone would make a fake part that sells for $14.00. The only thing that is confusing sometimes is when there is not a KDM part available (like for certain wheel hubs) and there are only after-market versions. There is also a non-KDM emblem that covers the H on the steering wheel air bag (since the KDM solution requires replacing the entire airbag).
