I don't work for Hyundai and I think the tranny is fine in regular day to day driving. Anything beyond regular, dump the tranny into manual mode, knock it down a few steps, and row for your self.
There is no extra power train loss, my 3.8 is almost as quick as a 335i at highway speeds, it's faster than a 300C or a L460.
Change your own gears and you get full power, as easy as that.
Well...full power anywhere but when you launch it from stand still, traction control cannot be turned off and thus limits maximum power at take off...it's been been really bugging me. Absolutely no way to burn the tires. And to top it off, it spins them just fine in the rain!!!!!
