  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When I took delivery of my Equus the sales rep told me the XM was free for a year. I received a notice from XM in the mail stating my 3-month trial period would be ending soon. XM customer service confirmed this when I called. Before I call my sales rep to complain, can anyone confirm how long it is supposed to be?

Thanks.

3 months, never used it, didn't renew.

Free trial period is 3 months. I just renewed but DO NOT agree to their ridiculous prices. You can get 1 year for around $80 plus taxes.

when we bought our Genesis (used), we have XM. So we kept on listen to it, thought that the previous owner had paid for it. one day, it just turned off. I called Xm and asked about it, the customer told me that to give the radio id. which I did, he came back and said that I got 6 free months for my car. I agreed to sign up and no credit card or any info needed. They called and sent me letters said that my 3 months free period is ending. I kept on ignoring them. Till this day XM still works. almost a year later.

Bought my Genesis (used) back in September...XM was working and still is. I'm not sure why, but there was a thread in the Genesis forum about it maybe being in 'demo mode', which the dealer never turned off?
