  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I know there was a previous thread on this subject, but it's kinda old, so I thought I'd ask

'How many people leave their iPod plugged in all the time'?

Always plugged-in, both in my wife's Genesis and my own Genesis

Always plugged in.

Mine is always plugged in.

Same. I see no reason to disconnect it. Never had to in any other car.

Always connected in the center console.

Always plugged in as well, well except when I need to put new music on it.

Never leave it plugged in....use it in the house for things other than music.

I'm too cheap for an iPod, but have a 64gb USB stick with my mp3 files on it that I leave plugged in almost all the time. So far no problems.

Always plugged in unless I am uploading music to computer or downloading from iTunes. The only problem I have, besides the surround sound needing to be reset, is having to search through my menus to get to the album/ song list that was playing before I shut the car off. This is a ROYAL PAIN!

I always leave mine plugged in. It always picks up where it was when I shut the car off but the random always defaults to off. I find that very annoying.

Playlists are much easier to get to than specific albums, artists, or songs. I have only a few playlists on my iPod, which I periodically refresh with different songs in iTunes.
