  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Whether you are a new sedan owner, or not, be sure to consider buying the optional cargo mat. This mat fully covers the trunk floor and not only protects the floor, but also "beautifies" the trunk. Now the only thing my trunk needs is plastic bag hooks along the lip edge. My Taurus has those hooks and they are perfect for securing those Walmart bags.

Every car coming off the boat should come with one- as well as with the iPhone cable. It is marked "option" but is you pay extra- your negotiation skills are lacking

I got the cargo mat and agree it makes the trunk look better. I just wanted
one so when I pickup salt for my water softner I could get the loose salt
out of the truck easily. Seems there is always one bag of salt that leaks a little.

I agree with everyone above. What a super option to have!

I have found myself using the trunk for things I'd usually risk placing in the passenger compartment, just 'cause it is a "safety net" for me!

Cleaning supplies, soccer equipment, laundry... now goes in the trunk. Easy!

I love the mat as well. It looks really good.

However, the cargo net is a complete joke. If anyone finds a container that fits well into the trunk let me know. I seriously thinking about finding a tote to fit in there. I could go to the store with a week's worth of groceries in my I30 with the net but this one is good for milk and eggs ... maybe.

My car came with the mat opiton and i questioned having it at first. I did negoicate it out of the price for the car and the wife said just to keep it.

After 4 months of owning the car, I'm gald I got it. It works better than I thought it would at keeping the grocries in place and not sliding around. Plus as bobshine said, easy to get the salt out that seems to leak from at least one bag every time. ;)

Rubbermaid makes a cargo tote but they are hard to find. I got then from auto zone for $15. They usually have only one in stock so you have to keep going back for more. Get 3 and they fit perfect all the way in the back of the trunk against the back seat. I keep my cleaning stuff jumper cables etc. in there

mine also came with a net that you can secure loose items with.

I have yet to figure out the net and how it attaches. My Sonata net wasn't anything like this model.

It's not rocket surgery...
You can also fold it and hang it from round hooks behind taillights.

I love the big plastic trunk mat and I'm doing my best to wear it out. I'm not such a fan of the the net though. My wife loves her's but I just don't like it blocking access to the trunk so I threw a plastic Rubbermaid tote in the trunk with a smaller one inside. With those two totes in varying combinations I can usually carry whatever I need without spilling.
