  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I was checking the air pressure in the spare and noticed
a 3" hole in the floor directly in front of the spare. It looks to big for a drain hole. Am I missing a gromet?

looked in my rspec sedan and i do see a hole (bout 3/4" dia) to the rear and to right of spare tire (looking forward from rear of car and spare not removed). the hole does have a rubber grommet with a clear, what looks to be a plastic tube from the battery. hope that helps. see no other holes.
2012 genesis rspec.

it's the Parking brake release...

There are two, approx 1.5"dia holes in the sheet metal under my spare tire. Just fwd and aft of the tie down fitting. The fwd one has a rubber plug but the aft one doesn't. Also a smaller plugged hole in the fwd vertical wall of the spare recessed tub. No idea of the purpose or if the open hole should have a plug but these have nothing to do with the EPB or battery vent.
