  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am trying to find out is Sprint Booster will work on a 2012 Genesis Sedan 3.8.
I am searched this forum and the web and all I can tell is that they have it for '09 - '11 , but says nothing about '12 models or if the '09-'11 Sprint Booster will work with the '12.
Has anyone tried this yet?
Thanks in advance.....

Contacted them a few months ago (like towards the end of 2011) and they said they will be testing with a 2012 but right now nothing.

Sprint Booster makes your car's throttle respond faster to your foot. As a result, your gas pedal actually achieves a full throttle response 25% sooner than the stock configuration. Even if you have a 'sport' button, Sprint Booster will quicken the throttle response time. By making the throttle respond faster to your input, you will feel as though your car has more muscle than it really does!

• Sprint Booster does not increase Horsepower.

• Sprint Booster does not reduce your 0-60mph times.

• Sprint Booster DOES make your car 'FEEL' faster.

• Sprint Booster is not for everyone...

Now, as to whether or not it's worth $329, well, that will be a matter of personal experience I suppose.

Ok so let me get this straight..... "Sprint Booster" does not reduce your 0-60 ET or raise your HP. But it cost north of $300.00. What Herb Tarlek suit wearing used car salesman came up with his? Why would I spend money on this so called "Sprint Booster" and not on say a K&N air filter or a exhaust system or maybe a bigger sway bar, something that ACTUALLY does increase HP or handling?

I don't want to sound sarcastic or anything ;) but $300+ bucks is a good chunk of coin, and I can think of plenty of other things that I could spend it on if I was just looking to feel something.

I have heard of the emperors clothes and this sounds like it would go right along with the rest of his Majesties outfits.

Just saying....

They're only quoting through MY2011 on the website, as QR suggests. But I've had one since January on a 2012 Equus. Will make the car react faster off the line, just no xtra hp. Car is more tractable and throttle kickdowns are faster depending on the selected setting.

To be clear, 2x ck with sprint booster and at reader's discretion, buy / try at your own risk if manufacturer has not released them for use in 2012+ models.

To Vermillion's point, they're probably making a hell of a margin since all we're talking about is an amplifier. But will attest to the results and takes less than 10 minutes to install.

I think that the sprint booster can correct a safety issue. Just depends on where and how you drive. In a large city environment, where you need the quick response to merge into traffic or overtake another slower car, you will not have the normal 1 to 2 sec delay. Sometimes when I start to merge into or cross over traffic to get into the opposite lanes I feel like the lag time was long enough to recite the Gettysburg address...That kind of delay can get someone killed. I think that manufacturers have placed the delay there to keep us from "dogging" the cars while still under the warranty. Just like the anti-slip or traction control...a joke, not for our benefit but theirs. The horsepower is one of the main reasons I bought the car.... but I didn't notice the lag until the rear tires had crossed the curb.
