My cruise control was acting up the last couple of days but when I was driving home yesterday I began getting what seemed like all the warnings sequentially: Smart Cruise Control conditions not met, Check AEB system, Smart BSD braking system malfunction, Check AEB system (again), check LKAS, Check ECS, and Check Smart High Beam System. Every time I start the car it does the same thing. I can drive it but it's very balky, like cars used to drive when they weren't getting all the gas they should be getting.
I had a similar experience back when the car was still under warranty. Multiple warnings. Turns out the windshield washer pump had leaked and gotten into the electronics. Dealer had the car for a month. In the end, the wiring harness (a $2500 part) had to be replaced. The first dealership tried to patch it, which Genesis prohibits, and I took it to another dealership which replaced the wiring harness. God only knows what the labor ticket was like.
My car has 68K miles on it. The warranty was for 60K miles. I think the new wiring harness was replaced about 20K miles ago. Not much durability for a $2500 part, if that’s even the problem.
Full disclosure: A few weeks ago I installed a Comma.ai 3x. After I got all these warnings I disconnected it from the OBD2 port and nothing changed with the car. I doubt it had anything to do with my new problem because hundreds of people have used these things and I can't find any reports of this happening.
Any and all advice appreciated.
