  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My cruise control was acting up the last couple of days but when I was driving home yesterday I began getting what seemed like all the warnings sequentially: Smart Cruise Control conditions not met, Check AEB system, Smart BSD braking system malfunction, Check AEB system (again), check LKAS, Check ECS, and Check Smart High Beam System. Every time I start the car it does the same thing. I can drive it but it's very balky, like cars used to drive when they weren't getting all the gas they should be getting.

I had a similar experience back when the car was still under warranty. Multiple warnings. Turns out the windshield washer pump had leaked and gotten into the electronics. Dealer had the car for a month. In the end, the wiring harness (a $2500 part) had to be replaced. The first dealership tried to patch it, which Genesis prohibits, and I took it to another dealership which replaced the wiring harness. God only knows what the labor ticket was like.

My car has 68K miles on it. The warranty was for 60K miles. I think the new wiring harness was replaced about 20K miles ago. Not much durability for a $2500 part, if that’s even the problem.

Full disclosure: A few weeks ago I installed a Comma.ai 3x. After I got all these warnings I disconnected it from the OBD2 port and nothing changed with the car. I doubt it had anything to do with my new problem because hundreds of people have used these things and I can't find any reports of this happening.

Any and all advice appreciated.

I think that all those failures have the LKAS camera in common.

I tested my battery today and it was 12.1v. Plenty to crank the car but not enough power to go around, I think. I replaced it today and I’m going to reinstall the Comma 3x. I’ll but it won’t be for a few days. I’ll post the result. I got a lot of good advice on Reddit r/Comma_ai.

I said I’d report on the installation of the 3x after I installed a new battery. That was the problem, all right.
Of course, the battery for the G90 looks like it belongs in an 18-wheeler. Many demands must be met. I just need to make sure I keep up with it and check the battery from time to time. When it gets close to 12V I’ll replace again.
Meanwhile, the Comma.ai 3x is better than ever. Software was recently updated and it can now do more things and do all things better.
