Since many people cross shopped the Maxima, I know I did, and ended up buying the Genesis. Here is an article from MT wrapping up a 1 year long term test. Verdict: 2009 Nissan Maxima SV

Just saw that one of my neighbors purchased an '09 Maxima. Prior to getting my Genesis I spent a lot of time debating between the two. In the end, the RWD and larger interior for the Genesis won me over. Still... That Maxima is also a beautiful car..

I have driven both the Genesis and the new Maxima. Extremly impressed with both cars. Maxima has same hp and handled slightly better which was surprising for front wheel dr. not as nice inside as Genesis nor as quiet as Gensis. In the market for new car and debating decision. Have opportunity to...
