    Ride Moves Around a Little

I'm in the market for a new car and drove a 2012 Genesis (and a MB C250, an Audi A4, and a Cadillac CTS) this week. I drove them over the same mixed route - some freeway, some country roads - and noticed the Genesis seemed busier than the other cars. Texas does have pretty good roads, but they...

    Bumpy Ride

Well, I have the 2013 3.8 Touring Coupe for about 2k miles now. I have noticed that it is a very bumpy ride. I can feel everything on the road. How can I fix this?

Final conclusion - ride on rough roads???

I'm close to buying, probably a 3.6 with tech and premium. I've read so much about the "jittery" ride on rough roads I've come to the conclusion that It has been improved in 2012, but the suspension still needs improvement. I'm thinking about trips from San Diego to LA on the 5 and 405, where...

New kicks for my new ride

I have been searching for the right wheels for my new Genesis 4.6. My car is black on black. I have looked at so many wheels but seem to always come back to these. Opinions welcome. I am going with 20's. Thanks. Chrome with black or gloss black and machined...

Does the ride soften up a bit with mileage?

Just got a 2012 Genesis Premium 3.8. Overall I really enjoy the car. I still have to figure the right setting for my finicky back on the drivers seat but the remainder of the interior are impressively put together and of amazing quality for the price. The powertrain is fantastic, not only for...

    > Tire/wheel Size Effect On Ride Quality And Handling

I've test driven and am considering a purchase of 3.8 Genesis with 17 inch wheels and 235/55R17 tires. The ride was great, the handling seemed fine. Can someone comment on the likely difference there would be in ride quality and handling if the car was equipped instead with 18 inch wheels and...

Now I know why people said the ride is different.

I test drove a used 2009 Genesis with 11000 on odo V6 fully loaded a week ago, a brand new fresh off the boat 2012 V6 with Premium Package just yesterday, and a 2011 V8 loaded model today. I get an idea of what people are talking about now (about the ride quality) 2009 ---- most unstable of...

    Ride quality

I was ready to commit on a '11 Genesis and balked after reading Consumer Reports and then this forum with regard to the harsh ride. I was hoping the tires were the issue but its obvious it isn't the tires alone. I am retiring a Lexus LS 430. I emailed Consumer's telling them the "unsettled"...

Infiniti M56 - Complaints about the ride

Mostly from InsideLine (but others as well have noted the harsh ride)... http://blogs.insideline.com/roadtests/2011/05/2011-infiniti-m56-this-big-boy-cant-dance.html http://blogs.insideline.com/roadtests/2011/01/2011-infiniti-m56-a-suitably-luxurious-ride-nope.html A bit of a diff...

Does Cold Temperature Make Firm Ride Firmer?

Just wondering I have noticed with the temperature below 20 my Genesis 4.6's ride is somewhat harsh. Does temperature effect the ride. Also wondering if adding weight in the trunk will make the bouncy ride better or worse.

My 2011 Hyundai Genesis Sedan Ride is Rougher Than Expected

I only have 500 miles on my new car. When I drive on some side streets the ride is rougher than my old car and my old car has sport suspension, however, the highway ride is very smooth. Do you think the suspension and everything is still stiff from being new? How many miles does it take to...

Hyundai Equus may have rough ride into luxury market

L.A. Times: The carmaker has grabbed a bigger share of the U.S. market as its quality and reputation have improved, but the sedan's $60,000 price may steer consumers to rival models from Lexus, Mercedes and others. http://www.latimes.com/business/autos/la-fi-autos-hyundai-20100912,0,6048981.story

    Driver selectable ride

Hyundai has entered the next level up with the Genesis and seems to be doing rather well. I sure like mine! I find more controversy here about the stiffness of the Genesis ride than any other feature. The Buick Regal offers Interactive Drive Control allowing the driver to choose among three...

Genesis 4.6 V8 Tau vs. 3.8 V6 Lamda Difference in Ride?

I've test driven both the Genesis 4.6 V8 Tau and 3.8 V6 Lamda trying to decide between the two. Both cars has tech packages. Is it my imagination that the V6 steering seems lighter and that the quality of the ride is slightly better, that is that roads bumps are not transmitted to the occupants...

What was your last ride and what do you miss about it?

Ours was a 2007 Lexus ES350. The only things that come to mind that I miss are the duplicate features on the passenger seat and the fact that you can lock/unlock from any outside door handle. In all other respects, so far, the Genesis blows it away. Time will tell how it goes from here.

Got to ride in the back of the Genesis today (rear seat review)

So I got to spend some real time in my Genesis's back seat t oday. We had to take a 2 hour road trip to my brother in laws to see him off to Iraq again, so we picked up my father in law and I let the wife drive while I stretched out in the back. All I can say is that I'm envious of my...

20 inch wheels, how did it change your ride?

I would like to know if anyone has installed 20 inch wheels or larger on their Genesis. How has this affected your ride? Also what did you do to overcome the fitment problem due to the large brake calipers up front?

    Smoothest ride ever!

Picked my kids up for the weekend and my 9 year old let me know that she is so happy I have the Genesis because it has the best back seat and smooth ride. (my last car caused her to get car sick on almost every trip). So the verdict is in, debate is over, my 9 year old has spoken. We got on...

Winter wheels and tires made a huge difference in ride comfort.

Just installed the winter tires. Replaced the 235x50/18's with 215x60/17's. Of course you'd expect some change from the taller softer sidewalls. But the change was much more dramatic than I've noticed in other vehicles. The other thing I noticed was the winter tires and wheels (Michelin...
