trunk

I removed the lite assembly from inside the trunk,then disconnected the cable and had the lense and housing in one piece.I can't separate the lense from the housing to get to the bulb.Anyone do this,I would appreciate any input. Many thanks,JNP

Well, this sucks. Go out to the car after not having driven it for a couple of days, press the start button and all I get is "ding ding ding ding ding ..." I notice there aren't any interior lights on, and no instrument cluster light-up. Then my brain triggers ... check the trunk. Sure...

Re: my 2009 Genesis sedan I let my genesis sit and now the battery is dead. But I cannot open the trunk to charge it since none of my 2 keys work to unlock it (I think the primary key does that and I've lost it). I don't remember if I received 3 keys or 2. The 2 keys I have cannot open...

Did any have this problem. Trunk opens with out key fob. I just touch the trunk rubber with the key fob in the house and the trunk opens. 2012 4.6, with less than 2,400 miles. Marty

Wondering if anyone has come across anything to replace the Hyundai "H" trunk badge with on the Equus, the way Genesis owners replace it with the wings?

not sure where I read this but someone else was having issues with the trunk being unlached. Ive noticed this myself. Ive come out several times to see that my trunk is unlached. I know that my fob is sitting on my desk and not touched. Very strange.

I have the 2011 ultimate equus. My trunk keeps opening by itself evey once in awhile . It is not my key since I have isolated the key in a separate location. The next problem I have may sound crazy. Every 30 to 40 seconds I hear a noise while in my car that sounds like a faint horn beep...

When you pop the trunk from the key fob - does it open or just release and you still have to lift it? I'm buying a 2012 unseen so I can't answer my own questions. ;)

Okay, spent hours searching for hopefully an easy question. I've viewed Youtube on de-badging a Genesis "Coupe". Apparently it has 2 screws you need to remove...my question...does my 2011 sedan have the screws? Or is it that simple to debadge and drop in the new one? Thanks
