  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey everyone, as the title states, i’ve got a hyper flash on both sides of my Genesis, but all lights are working properly. I tried replacing the bulbs, but still haven’t the same issue. when i turn on the hazards, they flash normally though so i’m not sure what could be the problem. would appreciate any help!

Usually means the resistance is incorrect on the line and causes the flasher to flash fast. Usually get this when there is a burnt bulb. Do not know if your car has a flasher module, but it could be bad.

i don’t think it has a flasher module, so do you know what would be the fix for it?

Did this happen before you changed bulbs or after? If after, be sure you did in fact put the proper replacements in.

it happened before, i changed the bulbs to see if that was the issue. i just recently purchased the car a few months ago

If it was working fine and then started and you had no bad bulbs, I would still try the flasher module.

would you have any idea where it’s located?

Not a clue on these new vehicles. Sometimes they are located in the fuse tray. It is just a relay. You might try to do a Google search for it. I actually do not know if you even have one or if the computer controls it. I am old school and these newer cars have so much electronics. Never bought an extended warrenty until now.

according to hyundai parts deal, advance auto, and autozone, there is no flasher relay that fits my car so it looks it doesn’t have one :(

Does your car use bulbs or LEDs?

Your turn signal/DRL bulbs my be defective. The turn signal/DRL running bulbs uses two filaments; one for DRL and one for the turn signal. I will bet that your DRL does not work on one(or more) of your bulbs even if the blinkers does work.

The hyper flashing happened on my 2015 also. I checked my DRL lights and noticed that one did not work. New 1157LL bulbs solved my hyperflash issue.

Did you ever figure out the issue? Same problem here. 15 Genesis G80
Check your DRL bulbs, if one or more is blown than it causes hyper-flashing when using your blinkers.

The bulbs uses two elements and can still work if the DRL is blown, but it causes hyper-flashing.

Both DRL bulbs are working. Both turn signals are working. I am getting a hyper flash on both sides. My DRL does seem a little dim to me though on both sides. I'll change the bulbs once this hurricane passes. Thanks for the reply
