  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Good morning everyone. I'm new to this forum and need help bc I'm at a loss on what the problem is. I have a 2015 hyundai genesis ultimate pkg. The display screen went out and sometimes displays the Genesis logo or when I turn it off, then back on, I get the date/time. The only thing that works is the radio. Sometimes I can see how to change a station or volume at the top of the screen, but only when the date and time is displayed and that requires turning it off, then back on.

I bought another OEM head unit off Ebay and changed it out, but unfortunately, it's the same scenario. After that, I thought it might be the control piece by the gear shift, so I replaced that and still nothing. I'm a DIY type person and don't want to take it to a dealership for them to charger me hundreds. I've read many posts on here with similar issues, but I haven't found a solution that works. Any help will be much appreciated bc I'm at a dead end.

Perhaps it's the screen itself - You can score those from Ebay a lot cheaper than a HU.

Could it possibly be the wiring harness causing issues??

Hard to say - but replacing the screen would tell you what it's not. It's a head-scratcher for sure.
