  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I own an '09 4.6 sedan and need to replace the rotors/pads on the rear. I have a friend who is upgrading his front brakes (he has a '10 4.6) and will sell them to me for a good price. What I am wondering is: can I install front calipers/rotors on the rear axle of my car? Would there be any benefit to doing so?

I don't think its going to help much as the front brakes do the heavy lifting. I'm not sure if the calipers/rotors will fit in the rear but you'll need new rotors anyway as there is no sense in reusing worn rotors while you have it all apart.

Bolt hole center-to-center on the bracket is different front to back. So no.

Coupe Brembo rear calipers will bolt on, match with Coupe Brembo rotors and pads, if you want a four piston rear.
