  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis sedan owners who have hit over a 100K. How is your vehicle running? Any performance issues? Is maintenance issues starting to catch up? Is it still enjoyable to you as they day you took it off the lot?

2011 4.6 V8 with tech pkg. purchased Sept 2010. 103k and still great. Just routine maintenance. Original Brakes have maybe 15k to 20k left on the front pads. No oil consumption at all.

The front bumper however has significant wear and tear. :D

From sand?

I read Landtuna's remark and thought maybe his humor was as sick as mine. Because the only way I'll get 100-120K miles on original brakes would be if I used only the transmission and front bumper to stop the car. If I were to claim that many miles on a set of brakes, I'd also have to claim 5 transmissions, 3 airbags, and make one of my daughters marry a body shop owner.
:D:D

It all depends on how much highway vs city driving one does (in addition to driving style). Someone can rack up a lot of miles on the highway and barely use the brakes at all.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Also depend on where you live.... Brakes don't last nearly as long in the north due to the corrosion on the rotors in the winter..
