  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2011 4.6 sedan and I'm just turning 100K miles. It has been the best car I've ever owned; I've put two sets of tires, one battery, oil and filter changes and that's about it. I'm planning on keeping it another couple of years and wondering what is the basic maintenance I should do; tranny fluid, coolant replace, spark plugs? Any help is appreciated!

Check the owner's manual. If you don't have one, go to myhyundai.com and register to download one.

@porkchop, I'm in the same boat approaching 100k except mine is a 2009 V6. shocking to have not replaced brakes yet! when did your battery go out? I'm still on the factory one.

My brake pads lasted to over 130,000 miles. And I still have the original brake rotors.

i think i need front brakes soon i guess im harder on the brakes 65k miles.
There is no way to equate miles driven to when the brake pads need replacing. Some people drive mostly highway miles on uncongested roads, while others have to brake frequently for the same number of miles driven.

Obviously, driving style also plays a big part.

Driving style and the car. I had an Acura TSX 2004 model year purchased new. It was driven on the same roads, same trips, and about the same speeds as the Genesis ( I drive the Genesis a little faster): and I had to have brake pads replaced on the Acura about every 50,000 miles. Traded in the Acura on the Genesis and I have been amazed at the number of miles I get on the Genesis Brake pads.

faizal, I left my trust lid open one night and drained the battery, about a year ago. Battery never really recovered so I got a one at Advance Auto Parts.

Isn't most of your miles on the highway? That makes a BIIG difference.

I had to replace my battery @ 6 yrs. and 55K miles... drive very little which may or may now affect battery life, also live in the deep south where summers are horrid which contributes to battery failure more than cold. (believe it or not)

Yes about 80% on the highway. But my comparison to the Acura stands due to the two cars being driven the same and approx. same miles per year.
