  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My 2012 Genesis 5.0 turned 100k miles last week. The motor does not burn any oil, the harsh shifts have subsided (for now), and every feature of the vehicle still operates good as new.
The suspension is just as firm as the day it left South Korea, and the leather searing also shows very little wear.
I would be very hard pressed to find a more comfortable car with the same performance attributes.
I hope that she holds together until 2021 when the next generation is released.

Our 2011 4.6 engine and transmission where still going strong at 220,000 miles. Do all the services and the Genesis will last past 200,000 with no problem,

Both of your posts leave me feeling good about my recently purchased '13 5.0 with 43k on it.

That white is SHARP!

Ha! Same here ! Got my R-Spec 2012 on NY eve with only 70K miles.... happy clam now!

How about it!! I did a 1000 mile trip in one day 16.5 hours of driving and at the end I did not want to park it. Nicest car I ever did own. The V8 is what puts the car over the top for me . The smooth acceleration and 30 mpg! Go figure!!

Well, I turned on ECO, but ECO led never lit when cruising over ~72-73 mph.....
My average MPG was 25-26 during this trip (~480 miles one way and after quick meal ... back)

Sport or normal. Sport when I cruise at 80mph normal at 65mph or lower. 538 mile range after fill up!

I am not sure if I would or could make it that far ,but that is what the read out reads? You live in that state with crazy gas prices? Do they sell non ethanol gas there? That's is what I burn.

I dont like to go below a half tank! Fuel pump dont like low fuel levels, atleast that is what I think.

Yeah - I do not like empty tanks too :) but I usually fill up at Costco and when I came home from my road trip - it was closed - now regular working days and I will go there in the evening after rush hours I think.....

I'd be interested in knowing about "turning on" these different modes. My car has an ECO light that stays on as long as you keep your foot out of it. The only other "mode" I know of is if you pull the shifter over into manual or "sport" mode.

As for the streaming music from my phone through BT I've had no issues.

On the MPG's the best I've seen so far is 26 and 430 to a tank. Given the V8 I'm happy with that. My old Fusion with a V6 got 28 and 470.

I used to drive my G37 down so low that the needle was one needle-width below the last gauge marker. It held 19 gallons and I would put 18.5 in at fill up.

Looking forward to making my annual 1400 mile trek down to sunny FLA later this month! This car it makes highway cruising so much easier. I find the radar cruise along with lane departure stuff enables me to take in more of the world outside of the tarmac and not having to disengage/resume the cruise constantly also reduces fatigue. Plus, the car is just so quiet that you don't have to have the music blaring to enjoy it - nice ride.

I have extremely fast and easy BT connection to my iPhone, but it does work ONLY as a phone.... nothing about streaming music (2012 5.0)

Congrats on a successful 100k to the OP!

I dont like to go below a half tank! Fuel pump dont like low fuel levels, atleast that is what I think.

Modern in-tank fuel pumps are cooled by the fuel flowing through them. So feel free to run it to the E line.
