  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

There are detailed instructions on jumping the 12v battery in the EV owners manual pg 8-4

I have owned this car for 1 week and having read about all the 12V failures I decided to pre-emptively top up the 12V... I have a schumacher external charger that displays charge level for the 12V.... holy cow does this car suck 12V juice... so far i've had to charge the 12V twice already and it took several hours. the car overall is supposed to keep the 12V happy but from what i can see the various gizmos really suck the life out of the 12V, no surprise that there are so many 12V failures, whatever algorithms they implemented are just not enough to keep the 12V happy it seems... also it is not a very large unit...

There must be something wrong with either the 12v battery or the electrical system.
I haven't seen more than a few 12v battery problems comments for GV70 EV in the past two years.
Every now and then when I walk through my garage, I see the yellow charging bulb lit up on the dashboard
indicating the 12v battery is being charged by the main battery. Do you occasionally see that yellow light on?
