  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I posted it in another thread. But I re-installed my cutouts. Unfortunately they are stuck wide open

I hear crickets.
I am taking the cutouts off tomorrow. The car sounds good. But too loud for all day everyday. Until I get my wiring gremlins sorted out and figure out why the damn cutouts won't close

The Tau V8 sounds mean as hell with cutouts but having been there done that with another car I too would find it too loud. If a budget allows for it I would do a mild setup like the Dynomax VT's (just mufflers, all OEM cats in place) combined with cutouts for the occasional loud day. That way you've got a reasonable volume most of the time, nothing too loud but still something there to let you know there's a V8 under the hood even with the cutouts closed.

That's exactly the same sentiments I have and exactly what my plan is.
The car just sounds too damn good to not have the option to open them wide open. But I like it's quiet sleeperness as well.
